Cumaratunga Munidasa commemoration ceremony

The Cumaratunga Munidasa commemoration ceremony and the scholarship award event will be conducted today at 3.15 onwards at the auditorium of Srī Sambuddhatva Jayanti Mandiraya, Colombo 4.   

The scholarship will be awarded to the student who scored the highest marks for Sinhala Language and Literature at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.   

It will be done in view of the 137th birth anniversary of erudite Sinhala language scholar and philosopher Cumaratunga Munidasa, and the event will be graced by Ven. Thrikunamale Ananda Thera, Education Ministry Secretary Tilaka Jayasundara and Consultant Physician Dr. Anula Wijesundara .   

Renowned Archaeologist Raj Somadeva will deliver the special oration at the event. Eleven students who came first with equal marks will be awarded scholarships at this event.
