Dalada Maligawa staff free of Covid: Diyawadana Nilame Maligawa opens to pilgrims as usual

None of the staff of the Sri Dalada Maligawa is COVID-19 infected and all activities in the Dalada Maligawa are going on as usual, Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela said.   

He told the media that Dalada Maligawa was open to the pilgrims for usual religious activities and refuted the rumours that the members of the Dalada Maligawa staff had been tested CORONA positive. He said that the entire staff was subject to Rapid Antigen Tests to ascertain whether they were infected.   

Diyawadana Nilame Nilanga Dela said Dalda Maligawa premises were disinfected when several officers in the police post were reported CORONA positive. He said the entire staff of the police post had been quarantined and substituted with officers from other police stations.
