Election after election: Govt. Printer to replenish security paper stock

With the move for the conduct of a snap general election , the Department of Government Printing has stepped up action to import security paper materials to replenish the stock exhausted after the presidential election, an official said yesterday.  
Government Printer Gangani Liyanage told Daily Mirror that the available stock would be sufficient to print ballot papers for the general election, but her department was required to keep stocks sufficient for three elections at any time.  
“Now the presidential election is over.We have to secure another stock to maintain the buffer ,” she said.  
Asked about the quantity of materials required for the general elections, she said it depends on the size of the ballot paper.
