Fags smuggled in as fruits seized by STF

A stock of cigarettes worth Rs.800, 000, which had been illegally smuggled into the country as fruits were seized by the Police Special Task Force (STF) on Wednesday.

The STF sleuths on information arrested two person in Kollupitiya and recovered several imported brands of cigarettes, which the sale in Sri Lanka is prohibited.   

The contraband along with the two suspects had been handed over to the Kollupitiya Police for further inquiries. K. K. K.
