Leader of the United Democratic Voice Party, film actor Ranjan Ramanayake said former Parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila expected his disclosure regarding the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks to create pandemonium in the country, but it ended up in a flop.
Addressing a meeting of his party at Avendra Gardens Hotel in Negombo, he pointed out that Parliamentarian Gammanpila’s disclosure was not taken seriously by the public.
He said in his opinion the new government that came to power just one month ago should be provided the opportunity to implement its programmes.
“The Easter Sunday attacks was a major issue used by the previous government at its election campaigns and Mr. Gammanpila held ministerial portfolios in it .’National Security’ was his major slogan to gain power,” he said.
He further said that his party has fielded candidates to contest the election for nine districts.
Media Spokesman of the Party Ravi Kumudesh, National Organizer Tillakaratne Dilshan and Colombo District candidate Petum Kernal were present at the occasion.
