Gota to meet Trade Union representatives

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Presidential Candidate, Gotabaya Rajapaksa is to meet the representatives of all trade unions affiliated to the party before tendering his nomination for the Presidential election.  


Accordingly, he has decided to participate in the convention of Trade Union Federations of the party representing all sectors very soon to explain his policies towards various sectors and to share the grievances of trade unions. Chairman of Podujana Peramuna Prof. G.L. Peiris said that plans are already underway for meetings with several Trade Unions in various sectors including Private sector, public sector and agricultural sector.   


He stated that collective efforts would be made to find solutions faced by the trade unions and workers during these meetings.   


Professor Peiris also said that the preparation of the manifesto of the SLPP Presidential candidate has already been commenced by a group of experts in key areas.
