ICTA to conduct a two-day roadshow in the central region in collaboration with the Ministry of Technology and TRCSL Creating awareness about the country’s national digital transformation plan

ICTA will conduct a two-day roadshow in the central region in collaboration with the Ministry of Technology, Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRCSL), Telecommunications Partners, and Industry partners. The forum's main objective is to create awareness about the country's national digital transformation plan and engage with regional stakeholders to create a conducive environment in the Central region for establishing technology clusters.
The Central Regional Roadshow will be focused on Central, North Central, and Sabaragamuwa Provinces and it will be the third of the five regional roadshows planned by ICTA. 


The roadshow creates new engagements, strengthens prevailing engagements, communicates the national digital roadmap and the plans. Representatives from government agencies, Telecommunications and Technology industry officials, SME and Start-up community, Central Province Chamber of Commerce, and Education Industry Officials will take part in the central region roadshow.  Jayatha De Silva - Secretary to the Ministry of Technology, Oshada Senanayake - Chairman ICTA, Eng. Mahinda B.Herath - CEO ICTA, Anura De Alwis - Chief Digital Economy Officer ICTA,  Supun Weerasinghe – Director, Group Chief Executive Officer - Dialog Axiata PLC, Chandika Vitharana - Chief Executive Officer - Mobitel,  Ashish Chandra - Chief Executive Officer - Airtel Sri Lanka, Thirukumar Nadarasa - Chief Executive Officer – Hutch and Dr. Prasad Samarasinghe - Managing Director, Lanka Bell will participate at the forum. Senior representatives from the Technology Industry representing SLASSCOM, FITIS, BCS, CSSL, SLINTEC and, SLIBTEC will share their plans on central region development at the forum. The District Secretaries, Divisional Secretaries and Chambers have extended their fullest corporation. ICTA invites all stakeholders in the Central Region to the virtual forum scheduled from 05th & 06th November 2021.
