Johnston inspects launch of road development project

Chief Government Whip Highways Minister Johnston Fernando inspected the launch of a project to develop a road from Kumbugoda Ara to Thalawa Paper Mill last week with funds from World Bank’s Inclusive Connectivity and Development Project (ICDP). The World Bank funds the development of 3,000 rural roads under the ICDP. Accordingly, the Minister observed the launch of road development projects  from Kumbugoda Ara to Thalawa Paper Mill (4.15 km), from Kalagedi-Ara to Nuge Cross road (one km), from Hingura Ara to Ketagal Ara, Hingura Ara old road, Hingura Ara Village Road (4.4 km), Udakanda Road via Velekumbura Seethagala (8.10 km), from Pambahinna to Kinchigune (2.8 km) and from Damuluwana to Galwathura (2 km).
