Lack of public facilities at Hikkaduwa bus stand

Hikkaduwa is a world-famous city.  That is because of tourism.  We have seen many tourists  travelling in Hikkaduwa town during the tourist season except for the last two years because of COVID-19 pandemic. 
The Hikkaduwa main bus stand is situated in the middle of the Hikkaduwa town.  In this bus stand there are no toilet facilities available.  Not only foreign tourists, but also locals who come to Hikkaduwa, are inconvenienced as a result. This is the major shortcoming at this bus stand. 

Beggars, mentally challenged persons and stray dogs can be seen always in this bus stand.  In the meantime, there was a shelter in front of the Hikkaduwa bus stand.  But now this has been removed and people waiting to travel towards the south have no shelter to be prevented from the sun and rain.
