MOD extends time for renewal of firearm licenses by two-months

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has extended the time period given to renew firearm licenses and licenses of private security agencies for the year 2021,by two months.   

Earlier, the MOD announced that firearm licenses for 2021 should be renewed before December 31, 2020.   
However, the ministry had decided to suspend temporarily the issuance of firearm licenses due to the current Covid-19 pandemic in the country.   

The MOD said that firearm licenses could be renewed until February 28, 2021 without a fine.   
The renewal of firearms and private security agency licenses are carried out only by the Ministry of Defence.
