The opposition will boycott the meetings of the Parliament Select Committee (PSC) in the event a date was not allocated to debate the no-confidence motion (NCM) brought against Minister Rishad Bathiudeen, UPFA MP Wimal Weerawansa said yesterday.
He told Parliament that the opposition would not participate in PSC meetings and that it would not consider PSC as a valid committee.
“The government on Tuesday promised to allocate a date after obtaining the report of the PSC in three weeks but now it refuses. The NCM should be taken for debate as allegations levelled against Minister Bathiudeen are serious,” he said.
