Claiming that a fresh investigation into the Easter Sunday bomb attacks have already been launched, Cabinet Spokesman Vijitha Herath said yesterday an investigation will reveal allegations of the missing reports of the Presidential Commission on the Easter Sunday attacks.

He told the weekly Cabinet briefing that a fresh probe based on the previous investigations and reports have been launched by the police under the Public Security Ministry.

“We will find out what has happened to the reports submitted to the President. Investigation will find out whether the reports had been submitted to the President and if any pages have been removed as reported. It will be investigated if the pages were removed after the reports were submitted to the President or before they were submitted,’ he said.

Responding to a question as to why the present government is not publishing the reports of the Presidential Commission on the Easter Sunday attacks, the Minister said the findings of the investigations will be revealed soon allowing people to know what had happened to the Commission reports.
