Programme to be launched to improve performance level of Mathematics

A series of programmes will be introduced by the Education Ministry among 500 selected schools to improve the performance levels of the Mathematics subject of the G.C.E.O/L examination. This programme would be implemented in the aim of increasing the mathematics performance levels of students and teachers of grade one to eleven, the Ministry said.  A separate seven programmes would be implemented to introduce latest teaching methodologies for mathematics teachers. 

 
Three separate programmes would be introduced for primary grades (Grade 1-5) and grade six to nine. One programme would be conducted for the benefit of grade 10 and 11 students, the Ministry added.
