Proposed steel factory in Trincomalee Ministry will go ahead with environmental assessment:Dy.Minister

Deputy Minister Development Strategies and International Trade Nalin Bandara Jayamaha said his ministry will go ahead with an environment assessment study on the proposed steel factory in Trincomalee.   


Deputy Minister Jayamah told a press conference yesterday that Board of Investment will go ahead with the environment assessment study. The “BOI” will go ahead with the environment assessment as the Cabinet nod has been received for it,” he said.   


Deputy Minister said the implementation of the project depended on the environment assessment study. He said the total investment of the project would be  one million 
US dollars.
