Range Bandara denies crossover rumour

UNP General Secretary Range Bandara today denied reports that he had resigned from his post in the party and is going to shift sides.   

“I don’t know about this story. A media institution had published this story and I am not aware of it,” he told Daily Mirror.   

It was reported that Mr. Range Bandara is keeping away from the political activities and that President Ranil Wickremesinghe had given assignments to others excluding him.   

He was last seen at the UNP special convention which was held last Sunday, August 25.   

However, when contacted by Daily Mirror, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara did not rule out the possibility of Mr. Range Bandara’s crossover. “Watch out for many big political developments that are going to take place during the coming days he said.
