“Rubber Watte” residents quarantined after neighbour succumbs to Covid-19

About 15 individuals from six families from Rubber Watte Road at Nedimala, in Dehiwala who had been associated with the sixth patient to die of Coronavirus were placed under quarantine for 14 days from Wednesday evening (08)   

The chief PHI in the Dehiwala MOH office M.P.Ajith Sajeewa said he had received information that the patient had been admitted to hospital with the help of neighbours.   He said that steps had been taken to place the residents of the area under strict house quarantine. The PHI further said notices of quarantine were displayed at the respective residences.  

A team of PHIs including Kawdana PHI Wiraj Priyankara Weeraratne and Nedimala PHI W.G.C. Rukshan instructed the families who are under quarantine to strictly adhere to the preventive measures and to immediately inform the PHIs or the Grama Niladhari of the area, of any developments.
