Ruwanweliseya Maha Chaithyaya gets new Pinnacle

The new pinnacle (Chuda Manikkyaya) to be affixed in place of the old pinnacle of the Ruwanweliseya Maha Chaithya was exposed to the public for th e paying of homage, at the BMICH yesterday and it would be displayed till November 20.   

Atamasthanadhipathi Most Ven. Dr. Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayaka Thera and Ruwanweli Chethiyaramadhipathi Ven. Pallegama Hemarathana Nayake Thera have advised to replace the old pinnacle with a new pinnacle since the 80-year-old pinnacle and its gold plated base had needed replacement.
