SLFP District conventions to commence this week

The District Conventions of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party have been organised and will commence from Galle this week.   

SLFP Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekera said that it has been planned to encourage the Organisers and Party Supporters by holding conventions in 
every district. MP Jayasekera further said that all supporters are scheduled to be invited for district conventions and there are 20 MPs, 240 Organisers and 1,100 Local Chairpersons relating to the party among them.   

It is not necessary to be excited right now to announce the Presidential Candidate for  the forthcoming Presidential Election and there is time up to October, he said.   

He said that they would not support persons who are corrupt, fraudulent and steal public property. They would support a person who has a future vision for 50 years and not someone who changes the policy every five years.
