Sajith pledges land distribution, industrial development in the North

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa pledged to distribute lands to the people in the North and the rest of the country through a land distribution task force.   

Speaking during a rally in Mullaitivu, Mr. Premadasa pledged to introduce an efficient land distribution programme.   

He also pledged to bring industrial development to the North and thereby said he would bring in six industrial projects to Mullaitivu, to bring in fisheries-based industries and to introduce renewable energy projects in the North. In addition, he pledged to set up IT parks in the North and to create smart schools in the area.   

“We also pledge to restart the housing projects in this area. “During my tenure as the Housing Minister, I began a few housing projects in this area. However, both Presidents Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Ranil Wickremesinghe stopped these programmes. I will restart these projects if elected President of this country. I will create another Gam Udawa era in the country,” he said.
