Saman Sri Ratnayake Commissioner General of Elections

The Constitutional Council (CC) has approved the appointment of Saman Sri Ratnayake as the Commissioner General of the National Elections Commission, the Speaker’s Office said yesterday. The Commissioner General of elections will, subject to the direction and control of the Elections Commission, implement the decisions of the Commission and exercise supervision over the officers of the Commission, according to the Constitution.
