Sapugaskanda refinery premises to be converted into an economic zone?

President Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday hinted on a move to convert the Sapugaskanda refinery premises into an economic zone.   
“This land would be vacant when we construct a large refinery in Trincomalee. We can then use this land to set up an economic zone,” The President told a rally in Kadawatha.   
“Gampaha was an under developed area when I first became an MP in the district. People were engaged in sack making and producing bidi. These were their livelihoods during that time. However we were able to put up a large industrial zone on Gampaha. Our plan is to set up a second industrial zone in Gampaha. It will be set up at a 100 acre land in Keragala. We are also planning to construct a large refinery in Trincomalee
