Senthil Thondaman’s birthday celebrated in 100 villages in Tamil Nadu

Ceylon Workers Congress Deputy leader and former minister of Uva Provincial Council Senthil Thondaman’s birthday was celebrated in around 100 villagers in Tamil Nadu on October 31. 


Thondaman has a huge fan base in the southern state of India as an activist promoting traditional “Jallikattu,” a popular bull-taming sport event in several other countries and it was the groups that involved in Jallikattu sport that had organised these birthday events as well. 


Hundreds of Jallikattu fans in many villages in Pudukkottai, Sivagangai, Thindukkal, Madurai, Thanjavur, Thiruchchi, Selam, Namakkal, Theni and Perambalur Districts had erected cut-outs and cut cakes in front of them praising his services to the upliftment of the game. 


Politicians in States of Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andra Pradesh had issued statements wishing Thondaman on his birthday.
