Special Parliament session on July 2

A special Parliament session will be held on July 2, Parliament media unit said yesterday.   

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena notified all MPs to attend Parliament on July 2nd at 9.30am as per the request of the Prime Minister.   

The session has been fixed following the request made by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena from the Speaker as per standing order No 16.   

Informed sources said that the President might attend Parliament on that day.   

The agenda for July 2nd is to be decided by the party leaders who are expected to meet on Friday 28 2024.
