Suspects ‘Sanka’, ‘Chandi’ and ‘Bahirawaya’ at large over Club Wasantha’s shooting

• Police seek public assistance to locate these suspects

The Athurugiriya Police and the Western Province South  Crimes Division are conducting investigations to arrest three wanted  suspects over the Athurugiriya shooting on July 8, where two persons,  including ‘Club Wasantha’, were killed, and several others were injured.  

Several suspects have been arrested earlier over the  incident and were remanded. However, the Police released photographs of  three more suspects wanted over the shooting and are seeking public  assistance to locate them.  

One of the suspects is identified as Tharukara Waruna  Indika de Silva, alias ‘Sanka’, while the second  suspect is Patty Harambage Ajith Rohana, alias ‘Chandi’ , a resident of Ahungalla. The third  suspect is Mutuwadura Tarindu Madusankha de Silva, alias ‘Bahirawaya’.
