Tattoo shop owner and others remanded

The tattoo shop owner and six others who were arrested by the Athurugiriya police in connection with the killing of two persons including Club Wasantha were remanded till July 22 by Kaduwella Magistrate Chanima Wijebandara yesterday.   

The magistrate ordered that the suspects should be questioned while detaining them in remand prison.   

She had found fault with the police for the release of video clips of the statement made by the tattoo shop owner before the suspects were produced before court.   

The suspects who were remanded were Dulan Sanjula Silva, (28), Mahesh Danushka de Silva (27) who is said to be a former Army officer, Yohan Kavinda Silva (24), Rasika Lakmal (37), Chathuranga Lakmal (37), Chalanka Keshan (28) and Ganishka Jauaruwan (31).
