Three fisherman reported missing off Galle Coast

A boat with a group of seven fishermen on board had bumped against a ship and capsized in the deep sea off Galle fisheries harbour in the early hours of last morning and three from the group had disappeared.   

It had left the fisheries harbour about a week ago for deep sea fishing and met with the accident about 265 nautical mile away from the coast.   

All the seven fishermen had fallen off the boat and got into difficulty and four of them were saved by a multi-day craft.  

OIC Galle Harbour Police CI Meshan De Silva said the Navy divers were deployed to look for the three disappeared fishermen.
