Two arrested with 79.3 kg of Kerala Cannabis

Two people possessing  79.3 kg of Kerala Cannabis were arrested during a patrol carried out by the Naval personnel in Northern seas on Saturday.   

It is reported that a team of Naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command arrested the suspects with the haul of Cannabis during a patrol carried out in the seas off Vettrilaikerni.   
The Navy said that they suspected the smugglers were attempting to transfer the haul of contraband to Sri Lanka by a dinghy.   

The suspects, together with the haul of Kerala Cannabis and the dinghy were to be handed over to the Police.
