Two-day Conference by Office For National Unity and Reconciliation on October 30-31

The 1st Annual Conference hosted by the Office For National Unity and Reconciliation is scheduled to be held on October 30 and 31 October 2021.
The annual conference is a programme proposal submitted under the title of “Higher Education Programmes”, one of the eight major areas of programmes that the Board of Control of ONUR agreed to implement during the period of 2021-2024.   


This conference aims to bring together leading academics, researchers and research scholars, professionals and university students to exchange and share their experiences, ideas, information and research results related to issues of Peace-building, Sustainable Peace, Rights and Responsibilities of Citizens, Reconciliation and Security in a modern
multicultural society. 


The conference will be held in hybrid mode (physical/digital) in accordance with the health rules and regulations approved by the Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka. 
All-Conference participants should join the conference online. Paper presenters will present their papers online. 


This conference is being held free of charge to provide the opportunity to a greater number of interested researchers, professionals, university academics and students.
Expected number of participants, presenters and delegates both physical and online (total 500).   


Keynote Speakers for the event will be the Lord Alderdice FRCPsych, Senior Research Fellow, Harris Manchester College, University of Oxford, England, United Kingdom and Professor Richard Caplan, Professor of International Relations, University of Oxford, England,
United Kingdom.
