UNF rebel-to-be will create national force: Lakshman Yapa

A minister attached to the United National Front (UNF) will quit the government and prepare the general public for a national force, MP Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena 
said yesterday. 

“This minister says government leaders should quit the administration if they did not have a backbone and failing which they were ready to sack such persons. It seems as if none was trying to find solutions to problems prevalent in the country. These ministers are attempting to capitalise on this situation instead of calming the people. It is apparent that he is working on a personal agenda. People are not ready to hear what ministers and MPs have to say. The government has failed to bring the situation under control even after the lapse of one month,” he told a news briefing.
