United Nations Astrologers International Conference held

United Nations Astrologers International Conference and Awards Ceremony 2024 was held last week at the Bandaranaike International Memorial Conference Hall with a gathering of local and foreign eminent astrologers.  

The international conference organised by the President of the organisation Maha Rishi Ranjith Opatha was presided over by the Head of Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies at the University of Sri Jayawardenapura Dr. Medagoda Abhayatissa. Sri Lanka’s former Ambassador to Seychelles Tikiri Herath Gunathilaka was the chief guest. The All India Astrological Research Institute also conducted its convocation, where 100 students were awarded with Degree and PHD in Astrology, making it the highest ever Astrology Degree presentation ceremony held in Sri Lanka so far.  

Renowned Indian Numero Vastu Energy Expert Dr. Shalini Gugnani’s book ‘Home Stories’, which had been translated into Sinhala by Mr. Ranjith Opatha and his disciple monk Veliaragoda Rahula Thera under the title ‘Vastu Rahas’ was also launched at the event.   Many other dignitaries including President All India Astrological Research Institute Giridhari Grover, Indian High Commission’s First Secretary PIC Navya Singla, Buddhist monks and international astrologers took part in the event.
