Vavuniya GMOA protest against Minister Rajitha

A demonstration was staged in front of the Vavuniya General Hospital on Saturday demanding that Health Minister Rajitha Senarathne be removed from office and an inquiry be conducted into allegations against him.The demonstration was organized by the Vavuniya district branch of the Government Medical Officers’ Association.  In addition to doctors, the nursing officers also joined the demonstration conducted during the lunch hour. The demonstrators said a presidential commission should be appointed to hold an impartial inquiry after arresting the Minister. Otherwise, they said a great injustice will be caused to the people in the country.
