Weekly progress reports on road construction called for :Johnston

Minister of Highways Johnston Fernando yesterday instructed project officers in charge of the100,000km road construction programme to produce weekly progress review reports to him on the said programme .   
Speaking to project officers at his ministry he instructed Director General RDA to inform him about any difficulty in obtaining raw materials for the road construction.   

He stressed the need for a programme to obtain raw materials from state owned land.

 
The Minister also instructed them to formulate a coordination programme to obtain licences for the supply of raw materials.
