Western Province Governor resigns

Western Province Governor Dr. Seetha Arambepola resigns from her post following her nomination in the SLPP national list.

She said she had resigned from her post to refrain from using state property and funds as stated by the Elections Commissioner.  

“I handed over my letter of resignation to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Tuesday (17),” she said.  

She assumed duties as Governor of the Western Province on November 21, 2019
