Wild boar frequenting Nallathanniya town

Residents say schoolchildren are the most susceptible to the danger

The residents of Nallathanniya town are living in constant fear of any possible danger from herds of wild boar frequenting the town during daytime.   

They said children on their way to school in the early hours of the morning were the most susceptible to the danger. Residents of the area pointed out that a herd of more than 20 wild boar were frequenting the roads and the villages in the surrounding area in search of food.   

Residents of the area requested the Wildlife Conservation Department to drive away the wild boar from the area.
