Younger brother kills elder

A clash between two brothers at Modaragoda in Koggala ended up in the elder being killed by the younger and the body dumped in Koggalaoya river.

The 69 year old deceased and his younger brother were fishermen who had a dispute over the possession of a boat.

The suspect had assaulted his brother and thrown him into the river. Residents of the area had taken him out and admitted him to hospital but he had died on admission.

A police team under OIC Habaraduwa CI Asoka Karunaratne are conducting further investigations to arrest the 
absconding suspect.
