Gunapala Kannangara passes away

Mr. Gunapala Kannangara father of Former Colombo/ Ratnapura and Ampara District Secretary Sunil Kannangara passed away on Monday, September 5 at the age of 94 years.  
He was also the father of Professor of History and Archeology of the University of Sri Jayawardenapura Padmasiri Kannangara and six more children. His remains lie at his eldest son’s residence near Pimbura Junior School in Agalawatte in the Kalutara District. Final rights will be held today (7) at the Paanthiya Crematorium, Matugama at 6 p.m.
