New Court of Appeal Website  launched

Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya (PC) ceremonially launched the website

The new Court of Appeal website was ceremonially launched by Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya (PC) on the invitation of Justice Bandula Karunarathna, President of the Court of Appeal on November 9 at 9.00 am at the Supreme Court Premises with the participation of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal Justices and distinguished guests.
The new website is an advanced and upgraded version of the Website that has been in existence. The new website is synchronized with the Case Management System of the Court which enables the judges, lawyers, litigants, and the public to get updates on the latest information regarding a given case in real-time without having to visit the Court Registry physically.

According to Mr. Sanjeewa Fernando, the Registrar of the Court of Appeal, the upgraded version of the website gives access to the daily case list of the 10 Divisions of the Court of Appeal, Judgments, Orders and Journal Entries etc...
In addition, there is information to assist the public regarding filing and maintaining a case and the relief that can be sought from the Court. The website has information on the Benches and the sitting Justices, the Jurisdiction of the respective benches, etc...
