AAT Business School launches - Higher Diploma in Accounting & Finance.

In this context the major crisis in Sri Lankan companies can be seen as the inability or the low capability of the employees to manage such accounting and financial data in an acceptable manner. More importantly, accountants make sure that stakeholders understand the meaning of financial information, and they work with both individuals and organizations to help them use financial information to deal with the business problems.

Having Identified above mentioned situation, the AAT Business School which can be introduced as a “Higher Education Centre that focuses on Executive development and Upliftment of students to become aspiring leaders committed towards enhancing competencies and recognition of those seeking individual development in Sri Lankais going to launchits newly structured course- the Diploma in Accounting & Finance, and the Higher Diploma in Accounting &Finance (HDAF) to provide a sound theoretical basis in Accounting and Finance with requisite skills and attitudes of participants to progress in their fields of careers mainly in the small and medium scale enterprises in Sri Lanka as well as internationally. 

Objectives of the HDAF

According to the facilitators the course will leads executives to, demonstrate a sound understanding of advanced concepts and principles of accounting, finance,  management, economics and other related social sciences and apply that knowledge in the decision making process and Improve the  critical thinking ability, and communication, negotiation, analytical and  problem solving skills in professional and business contexts, display leadership, ability to work in teams, commitment for learning, and adaptability in the professional environment and ultimately develop positive attitudes and responsibility towards work and society.

Target group

The course is designed for after advanced level school leavers and employees who are already engaged in the fields of Accounting and Finance. Direct entry to Higher Diploma is possible to students who have completed the AAT Final level or for those with similar qualifications.

Therefore this HDAF will constituteprofessional qualification which equips students to be more competitive in their respective industries. The followers will get sound knowledge and competencies, and strategic application in Accounting and Finance further   AATBusiness School will arrange bank loan facilities for students who follow this program as a solution to those having financial constraints and also, students will be also able to find suitable employmentthroughthe AAT job bank.
