Allianz gets new CEO and Country Manager

Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd has appointed Prashant Grover as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2024. 

He will also assume responsibility as Country Manager for Allianz Lanka, covering both Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd and Allianz Life Insurance Lanka Ltd, whilst serving as Principal Officer of the first. 

Grover said, “I believe that effectively harnessing the resilience and capability within our diverse team at Allianz Lanka as well as strength of the Allianz group will allow us to leverage opportunities to grow our business in the Sri Lanka market.”

• Has played pivotal roles in various operating entities and countries across Asia and Europe
• Led transformation for Allianz’s commercial business in Asia Pacific and retail business in Thailand
• Guided entry of Allianz brand into Vietnamese market
• As Regional Lead of Business Transformation, spearheaded digital, distribution and organisation transformation across insurance value chain
