The meritorious deed received praised from the Hospital Administration. Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Vijith Gunasekara, Director, Apeksha Hospital said, “We are immensely grateful to the BOI for the support extended to the needy cancer patients during this difficult situation. Maj. Gen. Jagath Gunawardena, Deputy Director General, BOI, participated in handing over these items along with the President of the Buddhist Association, Ranjith Karunaratne, Executive Director, BOI and Cecil Fernando, Director, BOI.
