Bettina Würth opens new Würth Lanka premises

Würth Lanka (Pvt) Ltd – the leader in motor vehicle and construction industry aftermarket products & solutions – moved its head office to a spacious new location in Makumbura, Pannipitiya in order to support its rapidly growing business operations. 


A high level delegation from Würth Germany was present at the opening ceremony of the new premises on 4th February and included Chief Guest - Bettina Würth, Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of Würth Group, Peter Zürn - Deputy Chairman of the Central Managing Board of the Würth Group, Bernd Herrmann - Executive Vice President, Ralf Lagerbauer - Deputy Executive Vice President, Reiner Bürkert - Executive Vice President, Dietmar Beyer - Assistant to Bettina Würth. 
“Sri Lanka is an important and growing market for Würth Group. We are happy with the progress being made by the Würth team over the past few years. Their efforts have lead to a rapid growth in business operations which has resulted in the dire need for a new and more spacious location and will be fulfilled by this beautifully designed new premises” said Bettina Würth - Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of Würth Group in Germany.

The new Würth Lanka premises situated along High Level Road in the fast growing suburb of Pannipitiya is easily accessible to customers as well as the dealer network to obtain their necessary inventory for resale and distribution to every nook and corner of the country. Ample parking space within the head office premises makes it easier and convenient for both customers as well as dealers to park and obtain their necessary inventories within a very short period of time which helps to improve efficiency. 


“Our decision to move into a more spacious and conveniently accessible location was spurred from the rapid growth for our products and solutions over the last several years. As we plan to expand our product and solutions portfolio, the new premises with its many positive attributes will be critical in achieving our goals” he added.


The opening of the new premises was followed by the Würth Lanka annual “Kick off 2016” on the 5th at the Hotel Taj Samudra and was graced by the entire delegation from Würth Group, Germany. Rewards and recognition for the year 2015 were awarded to employees who excelled in their areas of work. 


Würth Lanka started its operations with just one employee in 1988 and has now grown to over 70 direct employees. More products and solutions from Würth’s extensive range of products and solutions suitable for the Sri Lankan market have been identified to be launched in the Sri Lankan market which will require additional space for additional employees as well as additional storage facilities. The new premises will also cater to the requirements of the planned growth in the Würth dealer network as well.
