Crown Royal Security Services Wins Excellence Merit Award at the Social Dialogue & Workplace Coopera

Crown Royal Security Services (Private) Limited, a member of the Crown Royal Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, recently received a merit award in the large scale of the service sector category at the Social Dialogue & Workplace Cooperation Awards 2017 organized by the Ministry of Labour, Trade Union Relations and Sabaragamuwa Development held at BMICH on 14th December, 2017


Speaking of the company’s success, Mr Ajit P. Kangara Arachchi Lt. Cmd. (SLN) Master Marine, EDBA, JP and Chief Executive Officer/ Chairman of Crown Royal Holdings commented that this was the first time the company had participated in an event of such calibre and great honour to receive the Merit Award, having competed with a number of leading large scale companies in the country.


“I want the acceptance and attitude Sri Lankan have towards security guards to be improved upon,” he asserted, stating that at Crown Royal Security Services, each officer is treated with respect and dignity befitting a gentleman. 


The main criteria lead the company to receive this valuable Award  based on a team of experts from the Ministry of Labour assisted with Labour Department Officials on physical  inspection of the company’s policies comprising  the salary scale of  the employees, and statutory payments such as  EPF and ETF, additional income generated on attendance bonus, “diri deemana as well as number of  CSR activities implemented by  the company.  


I am proud to place on record the achievement mainly due to the expectation of every member of staff fulfilled on time, especially during the number of flooding those who lost their belongings instant action to bring their life of normalcy,  the Crown Royal Security Services came to the aid  and stand firmly behind the actions and decisions the  employees have to make in the course of carrying out their day to day responsibilities. The security officers are well compensated and reinstated to be self-defensive and to encounter the situations.


The company offers protection and security to several prominent banks in the country, as well as prestigious award-winning government/private institutions in the country. There are over 60 staff members  to handle company branch offices located in 8 cities islandwide such as Anuradhapura, Kurunegala, Ja-Ela, Colombo, Horana, and Galle, to provide prompt action to our Valuable clients for 24 hours.


What is special about this company, according to Mr Ajit, is that the company ensures that each security officer receives their salary on time, regardless of whether the client had settled  our service Invoices on time or not . 


The excellent care taken by Crown Royal Security Services means that the turn-over of the company is very minimal, and the company ensures that each security officer is given seven-day training programme prior to designating to a client’s place of business. The officers are trained at the training Centre in Battaramulla which belongs to the company with required advanced technologies and are given a comprehensive training. The officers are given a refreshment course once in three months.


New recruits are expected to present their school leaving certificate, a certificate from their ‘gramasevaka’ and a certificate by a member of the police force and are given a background checkup. Experienced members of the armed forces and the police are also welcomed.
