361 Degrees, Sri Lanka’s leading cognitive experiences partner, has expanded its brand MICE.lk with the relaunch of its own website MICE.lk, having been in the industry and grown actively for the last four years.
MICE, which stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events, is a type of tourism where large groups, for example from one or several companies, or even an industry, are brought together at a particular location to meet a common objective. MICE tourism is a growing trend that has garnered the interest of the government as well as local destination management companies. Through the new website the company plans to give information on its expanding portfolio of MICE-oriented services.
The MICE services offered by 361 Degrees primarily include team building programmes that can vary from two hours to eight hours through a carefully-selected mix of indoor or outdoor games. All activities are experiential learning based or fun according to the requirement and blended with the Sri Lankan identity while also making the most of the new technology such as social media and mobile technology.
Additionally, the company offers Sri Lankan experiences such as the perahera, cultural evening with traditional dancing, martial arts (Angampora) demonstration as well as globalised events such as Master Chef, Bollywood Night and James Bond. Some of the clients that they have carried out programmes over the years include Deutsche Bank, Citi Bank, AztraZenica, Coca Cola, Emirates, Triumph, Avicenna, HSBC, YSL, HP, Group M, A & M, Standard Chartered Bank and Captain’s Choice Australia.
Sharing his thoughts on the 361 Degrees’ history and experience in MICE, MICE.lk Head Gihan de Silva stated, “MICE has strong relationships with Sri Lanka’s top destination management companies that have been involved in MICE tourism. These ties have been built primarily because we have been able to provide them with innovative and cognitive experiences that align seamlessly with their MICE tour schedules and agendas. We also strive to provide highly personalized services, in order to make our clients feel like they are at a home away from home.”
“While 361 Degrees, which was formerly known as Wild Drift, is the leading integrated HR solutions partner in the country, our pedigree in MICE is also impressive. We have within our ranks experts who passionately organise and manage the perfect event - from wicked and outrageously wild concepts to more traditional themes – as per the client’s budgets and requirements,” said 361 Degrees Chief Visionary Officer Rukmal De Silva a.k.a. Ruki.
Since its inception back in 2001, the mother company of MICE.lk, 361 Degrees –- have been providing solutions to over 220 entities in both Sri Lanka and overseas.  The company continues to provide innovatively practical and tailor-made solutions for a wide variety of clients. 361 Degrees’ interventions broadly include team building, engagement and training programmes. The company recently celebrated the completion of 1,100 programmes since its inception as Wild Drift back in 2001.
