First ever Sri Lanka team at World Robotics Olympiad by Auston Engineering College.

Auston Institute is the affiliate branch in Sri Lanka of the Singapore-based Auston Institute of Management. In Singapore, Auston Institute of Management was founded in 1996 and has since received many awards such as Singapore Quality Class, ISO 9001:2008 and CaseTrust. More recently Auston Singapore has received awards like EduTrust 4 years and glowing reports and recognition from Quality Assurance Agency - The same body that quality assures UK Universities.

Auston Sri Lanka brings the same core values and standards of the Singapore campus to Sri Lanka. Of the many academic thrusts, Auston Sri Lanka prides itself on an industry-linked, career-focused, and forward looking curriculum. This year, Auston has provided Sri Lanka students with a greater opportunity - World Robotics Olympiad. 

Auston led a team of students to the World Robotics Olympiad held in 6th to 8th November 2015 in Olympiad held in Doha, Qatar where they competed with students from over 80 other countries. 

The challenge in this competition was to design, build and program a robot that was able to recover 4 specified objects locations on the course. This was the first time ever that a team from Sri Lanka was selected to participate in this prestigious event.

The participating students received the silver award by completing the tasks in time.
