Global Lifestyle Lanka said it maintains a strong commitment to planting trees and providing plants for home gardens as a part of its commitment to sustainable greenery initiatives.

The company maintains a consistent presence in the community with tree planting activities.
Global data shows that deforestation contributes around 10 percent towards global warming – unless trees are replaced when cut down, this can increase, experts believe. Felling of trees cause a devastating impact on the environment – desertification, soil erosion, less crops, flooding and an increase in greenhouse gases are caused by deforestation.

Climate change has shattering consequences on societies – intense drought, heat waves, rising sea levels, warming oceans and melting glaciers are having a direct impact on people and animals, wreaking havoc on livelihoods and communities.

Replacing trees that are cut down must be a consistent effort that marks a community’s commitment to minimizing climate change. Global Lifestyle Lanka understands this and strives to maintain consistent green credentials that give back to the community.

Regular tree planting activities are held as outreach programmes with the participation of their teams and various stakeholders; the going green initiative is supported with consistent attention paid to uplifting communities by giving them access to plants and green resources.
