Jaffna Housing and Construction Expo 2023 and seminar end on high note

Jaffna Housing and Construction Expo 2023, the first-ever housing and construction exhibition in Jaffna, was held at the Murthuwel ground, on September 15, 16 and 17, 2023. 

This exhibition was organised by Iyngaran Media Solutions together with the Chamber of Construction Industry of Sri Lanka (CCISL). The exhibition was inaugurated by Fisheries and Livestock Minster Dugles Devananda together with Deputy High Commission of India Ram Mahesh (Head of Chancery). 

The visitor expectations were met and were very satisfactory. The number of stalls displaying products and services was around 100. Companies owning leading brands participated in this expo. 

The reason to organise this kind of exhibition was to introduce new construction technologies, novel methods in constriction and latest products and services to the Northern peninsula. 

Apart from the exhibition, the CCISL organised a seminar on ‘Investment Opportunities and Innovative Constructors Technologies in Northern Sri Lanka’, especially to attract the overseas Sri Lankans, who were participating in the Nallur 
Kovil festival.

The seminar was arranged on the following important topics:

1. Investment opportunities in Northern Sri Lanka by the Board of Investment of 
Sri Lanka.
2. Real estate investment opportunity of the Urban Development Authority (UDA), with one-stop clearance by the UDA.
3. Innovative construction technologies by the University of Jaffna. 
4. Novel technology affiliated with Sri Lanka construction industry. 

It was a very important and valuable seminar to discuss these kinds of subjects in the Northern area, to create awareness.

The Jaffna Housing and Construction Expo and seminar ended on a high note on September 17, 2023.
