In an effort to help schools carry on their activities during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Lanka IOC recently extended support to the Gothatuwa Maha Vidyalaya with the donations of equipments and accessories.
With the schools having re-opened, Lanka IOC acknowledged that the safety of school children attains top most priority for the society, mainly for children from lower-income group families.

Lanka IOC pointed out it has always been sensitive and active towards social upliftment and has further stepped up its commitment by donating the necessary products to the school.  Items donated were; Stainless Steel Foot Peddle Hand Wash Sinks, Digital Thermometers, Sanitizers, Liquid Hand wash Bottles and KN95 Kids Mask.

The objective of the effort is to ensure good hygiene and at the same time strengthen the preventive measures for COVID-19 infection among school going children.

“We at Lanka IOC recognize education as one of the main pillars to a nation’s progress and future. Following and practising the COVID protocols and safety guidelines are of paramount importance for everyone,” said Lanka IOC PLC Managing Director Manoj Gupta.  The school was selected by Lanka IOC considering that it lacked many basic infrastructure facilities.

The Vice Principal Malhari Paranavithana along with school teachers and students extended their gratitude to Lanka IOC for coming forward and donating the much-needed facilities for the safety of children in the fight against the pandemic.
