Regent announces brand new sports complex in 2018

The board of directors along with staff, architects, contractors and builders came together to mark the beginning of construction for the Regent Country Club’s brand new sports complex recently.


The ceremonial laying of the foundation stones were carried out by Directors Shehan Gomez and Upul Gamage with blessings from Fr. Darrel Coonghe.


This state-of-the-art facility will have three badminton courts, one squash court, and be the first of its kind in Sri Lanka to house two indoor golf simulators under one roof. It will also have its own restaurant and sports bar for use of the patrons to the sports complex.


The use of the badminton and squash courts will be free and exclusive for members of the Regent Country Club and their guests.


The Regent Country Club already has many operative facilities such as:Fully equipped gymnasium, three banquet halls (Open to the public for functions), adult and kid’s pool with a pool bar, basketball court, spa, exclusive member’s lounge with games room and a 4,600 square-foot kitchen.
This new add-on is proposed to be constructed and fully functional by June 2018, and will be a great value addition to the existing facilities of Regent.
