SLAITO hails Ella Odyssey

The Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) has expressed its delight over the launch of the new train service from Kandy to Ella on a daily basis.
“This is an excellent opportunity for the tourists to travel on this scenic route,” the SLAITO said in a 
brief statement.

The train, named ‘Ella Odyssey’, will have 176 air conditioned first class seats, 144 second class seats and a restaurant/buffet with 
over 70 seats for socialising.
“We must thank GMR Jayasundere and his team for taking this initiative, which we are confident will be a good value addition to Sri Lanka’s tourism product,” the SLAITO statement said.
