Suzuki launches SHVS technology in Sri Lanka with CiazHybrid

Associated Motorways Private Limited (AMW) recently unveiled the diesel hybrid version of their new sedan, Ciaz,to a packed audience consisting of their loyal customers, enthusiasts, and well-wishers.
Announcing the arrival of the new version, named SHVS or Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki,AMW, the sole distributor in Sri Lanka for Suzuki passenger vehicles, added that the addition of a hybrid to the Suzuki range signalled a shift to the latest technology in offering customers greater choice and features.
Incorporating a 1.3 litre, DDiS 200 diesel engine of the Ciaz Hybrid comes equipped with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) that significantly improves the fuel efficiency by supplementing the engine power output to deliver 28kmpl (as certified by test agency under Rule 115 of CMVR 1989). Other features of the engine include idle stop and start, a torque assist function and brake energy regeneration. The incorporation of a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) also ensures that optimum power and excellent torque are generated. The Suzuki Ciazhybrid comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, and is one of the safest sedans available today. Built on Suzuki’s Total Effective Control Technology (TECT), safety features safety featuresinclude dual airbags, seat belt pre-tensioners and force limiters, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors, as standard features, all packed into a high tensile strength steel body. In terms of comfort and style the Suzuki Ciaz Hybrid is in a class of its own. Embellishments such as satin finish on A/C louvers, wooden finish on I/P, and a chrome garnished steering wheel add to appeal, while thoughtful additions like rear A/C vents, front centre armrest, driver seat height adjuster, and tilt steering are part of the package.
Other features include steering mounted audio and phone controls, and a climate control A/C system, audio Player with Bluetooth and USB connectivity and a boot space of 510 litres. In addition, the exterior complements with turn indicators on ORVM, body colored door handles, a chrome front grille and projector headlamps.
Heralding the dawn of a new era in technology, the Suzuki Ciaz Hybrid is expected to raise the bar and be a high demand model for AMW.
